A Bishop’s Waltham man accused of sexual assault and indecent exposure while wearing women’s clothes has been acquitted.

Keith Fielder, 69, of Claylands Road, had been accused of touching a 15-year-old boy’s chest and exposing himself while wearing a skirt, tights and a Christmas jumper near the pond in the town on December 9th 2023.

A jury found him not guilty of sexual assault after a four-day trial. Judge Gordon Bebb KC ruled that Fielder was unfit to plead and asked the jury to decide simply on the facts of the case. The judge ordered the jury to acquit on the indecent exposure charge due to lack of evidence.
