Boy Robbed By Gang In Denmead

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Denmead.

It took place sometime between 8pm and 8.20pm on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old boy was walking with his friends past Denmead pavilion when the group was approached by another group of young males.

In Lowland Road one person from this second group grabbed the victim’s bag and stole a black Bluetooth speaker.

The second group continued to follow the first group on to Southwick Road before they left. No injuries were reported.

A police spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that could help our enquiries. We understand that a number of people saw what happened and filmed it on their smartphones. If this is you, please get in touch.
