Deer fatally wounded in dog attack in Warnford

A deer was fatally wounded in a dog attack in Warnford on Wednesday.

The injured animal had to be put down at the scene.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We were called just after 3.15pm on Wednesday March 27th with reports of an incident involving two dogs at Moorhen Farm in Warnford, during which a deer became injured.

“Police attended and the deer was dispatched humanely to prevent any further unnecessary suffering.”
