“Don’t Walk Home Alone” Alert After Man Follows School Pupils

A school is warning parents to ensure their children don’t walk home alone after a man followed two children.

Yesterday afternoon two pupils from Swanmore College saw a man on Rareridge Road behaving in an “odd and worrying manner.”

The man was wearing a blue hoodie with the hood up. He followed the pupils for some distance. At no time did he touch either pupil.

The police have been informed and are investigating the matter.

In a message to parents Headteacher Kyle Jonathan said: “We would encourage you to discuss this with your child this evening and ensure that they are not walking home alone whenever possible.”
