Flood Alert Issued For The Meon Valley

A flood alert has been issued for the Meon Valley from East Meon to Soberton by the Environment Agency.

The agency says there is a risk of groundwater flooding across the Meon Valley including East Meon, West Meon, Warnford, Exton, Corhampton, Meonstoke, Droxford and Soberton.

The Environment Agency says people should monitor local groundwater levels and weather conditions and take care in areas prone to flooding.

The alert was issued at 4.46pm today.
