Homes, Cars And Businesses Targeted In Ball Bearing Attacks
Homes, cars and businesses were targeted overnight by vandals firing ball bearings.
Police say at least eight attacks have so far been reported between 9.20pm last night and 12.30am this morning.
The incidents are as follows:
– Damage was caused to the window at The Bakers Arms on High Street, Droxford, at around 9.18pm.
– Damage caused to a window at an address on Spring Vale, Swanmore, just after 10pm.
– Damage caused to a window at an address on Ingoldfield Lane, Newtown, at around 10.15pm.
– Damage caused to a window at an address on Winchester Road, Waltham Chase, at 10.30pm.
– Damage caused to a window at an address on Pricketts Hill, Shedfield, at around 10.50pm.
– Damage caused to the rear window of a vehicle on Martins Corner, Hambledon, at around 11.25pm.
– Damage caused to a window at an address on Winchester Road, Shedfield, at around 12.30am.
– Damage caused to both a car window, and the window at an address, on the High Street in Shirrell Heath.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers will be in the area today conducting enquiries. If anyone has any information, or footage from a dash cam or doorbell camera, we would ask them to phone 101 with reference 44210472901 and advise which incident the footage relates to.”

This happened to us in 2018, an upstairs window was smashed by a ball bearing. We reported it to the police but heard nothing further. The person’s responsible need to be caught and held to account before someone is seriously hurt. Enough is enough!
