Local Branches Of Pizza Express To Close

TWO local branches of Pizza Express are among dozens being closed by the chain.

The Whiteley and Port Solent branches of the company are being axed.

Pizza Express announced today that it is to close 73 restaurants with the likely loss of around 1,100 jobs.

Zoe Bowley, Pizza Express’s managing director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Unfortunately, the impact of the global pandemic has meant that we have had to make some incredibly tough decisions to safeguard Pizza Express for the long term.”
