Man, 86, Robbed In Broad Daylight In Waltham Chase

An 86-year-old man was robbed in broad daylight in Waltham Chase earlier today.

The incident happened at around 11.15am on Clewers Lane.

The victim was on Bull Lane when two unknown women approached him before forcibly stealing his Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch from his wrist.

He received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspects made off toward down Clewers Lane and possibly arrived and left the area in a small blue car.

The two women are described as white women in their mid 20s, both around 5ft 3ins tall with slim builds, wearing white face masks, and spoke with an Eastern European accent. One of the women had short neck length dark brown hair.

Police are appealing for witnesses. A spokesperson said: “Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw two women matching this description in the area, or have doorbell/dash cam footage that may have captured them?”
