Man Attacked By Knife-Wielding Dog Thieves

A man was attacked in Knowle earlier this evening by two men who tried to steal his dog.

Two men, who were armed with a Stanley knife, assaulted the man and told him they were taking his dog.

He managed to fight them off. His wife said: “A word of warning to those walking their dogs tonight, children walking dogs or leaving them in the gardens.

“My husband was just jumped on the main Knowle Road by two men who told him they were taking our dog.  They had a Stanley knife.

“He fought them off and got home with the dog and minor cuts. They picked on the wrong man but this could have ended very differently.”
