Man Dies In Accident On Bishop’s Waltham To Corhampton Road

Police have now confirmed that a man died in last night’s accident near Bishop’s Waltham.

A single vehicle was involved in the accident and hit a tree.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We were called just before 8pm last night to a report of a single-vehicle collision on the B3035, The Hangers, Bishops Waltham.

“Officers attended the scene, but a man in his 50s from the Romsey area was sadly pronounced dead. His family are being supported.

“Enquiries are ongoing in to the exact circumstances of the collision.”

Firefighters from Botley and Bishops Waltham were called to the accident just before 8pm last night.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: “A male casualty was extricated by firefighters. A black Labrador was in the rear of the vehicle and taken into the care of the RSPCA.”
