Men In Balaclavas Armed With Crowbar Rob Swanmore Store
Police are hunting for robbers who threatened a member of staff and stole from Central Convenience Stores in Swanmore.
At around 5.15am on Saturday April 30th, two men entered the premises on New Road, shortly after a member of staff had arrived.
One of the men was carrying a crowbar described as being around 3ft long and the other was carrying a large fluorescent Hippo bag.
The men threatened the member of staff with the crowbar before going behind the counter and taking cigarettes and alcohol. They then went into the office and stole cash and the CCTV hard drive.
The two men fled in a vehicle down New Road.
The first man is described as:
- 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 inches tall
- Slim
- Southern accent
- Wearing a black balaclava and brown/sand coloured Air Max 95s
The second man is described as being:
- 6ft 2 to 6ft 3 inches tall
- Slim
- Southern accent
- Under armour black balaclava
Police investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious.
A spokesperson said: “Were you in the area? Did you see a car driving down New Road at around the time of the incident? Do you have any private CCTV that covers New Road?
