Meon Valley Pub Re-Opens After Coronavirus Alert
A MEON Valley pub is open again following a temporary closure after a customer tested positive for Coronavirus.
The George and Falcon at Warnford said on Sunday that a customer who had visited on Saturday had the virus.
It said: “it is our understanding that they sat in the garden but travelled through the building to purchase drinks. We would suggest anyone that visited this evening from 6pm should isolate or get a Covid-19 test, as per government advice.”
The pub has now been deep cleaned and has now reopened.
The pub said: “We are back open. The pub has been deep cleaned and we have been given the all-clear by Winchester City Council to reopen.”
One local said: “This sort of thing must be a nightmare for people in the hospitality industry but the pub’s management have to be applauded for the swift and transparent way they dealt with it.”
