Missing Man Found After Police Search Involving Helicopter

A police helicopter was called in to help police in a search in the Bishop’s Waltham area earlier this evening.

Police were searching for a 28-year-old missing Swanmore man, who was believed to be in the Bishops Waltham area.

Police and his family were concerned about his welfare.

A police spokesperson said: “We deployed to the area and also enlisted the help of our colleagues in NPAS (National Police Air Service) to help us locate him.

“We have since found the man, and arrested him on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

“No one was injured during the incident. He remains in police custody at this time.”
