MP Praises Teachers And School Staff For Work During Pandemic

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has used a House of Commons debate to thank teachers and school staff for their work during the pandemic.

And the MP asked Education Minister Alex Burghart to help school heads in the future by giving them notice of changes to Coronavirus regulations as early as possible.

Mrs Drummond said: “May I take this opportunity to thank all the teachers and school staff in Meon Valley for their amazing work during the pandemic? May I ask my hon. friend to give schools and headteachers plenty of warning—hopefully not at weekends—if there are to be any changes to the system.”

Mr Burghart said: “We maintain a very good conversation with school leaders in what is obviously a very fast-moving situation.”
