By Staff Reporter in Crime News on June 2, 2020

Police are investigating after Bishop’s Waltham electrical shop Ron Upfield was burgled overnight.

Thieves stole goods and caused substantial damage to the High Street store.

The shop said: “We have CCTV of the break-in and a partial number plate of the Transit Van that was used.

“If anyone was around at 1am-ish and saw anything unusual in Houchin Street or the High Street please let us know asap and we can pass the information on to the police.

“Times are difficult enough at the moment without this so your help would be much appreciated.”

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are investigating a report of a burglary at Ron Upfield Ltd in High Street, Bishop’s Waltham, just after 00.15am today.

“Two people entered from the rear of the building. A number of televisions and money were stolen. Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 44200152912.”
