Plans For Homes At Popular Waltham Chase Restaurant

A POPULAR local restaurant has been put up for sale and plans have been submitted to turn it into homes.

The Anatolian, in Winchester Road, Waltham Chase, serves Turkish food and has won plaudits from diners on the Tripadvisor website and of the 341 reviews, 328 are either four or five stars.

It is understood the restaurant is open for both dining inside and for takeaways – and the restaurant lease runs until 2033.

However, it was revealed today that a planning application for seven homes on the site has been submitted to Winchester City Council.

The building is also on the market with Right Move for £1.3 million and is described as a “restaurant investment with development potential.”
