Police appeal after car stolen and attempted burglary in Bishop’s Waltham

Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from an address in Bishop’s Waltham.

The vehcile – a VW Golf – was stolen sometime between 11pm on Sunday February 25th and 8am on Monday February 26th from Langton Road.

Police are also investigating a report of an attempted burglary at an address in Churchill Avenue, at around 3am on Monday February 26th.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “It was reported that a man dressed in black was seen to try the front door of a house before walking away. Nothing was stolen.

“We are linking these two incidents. Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and spoken to a number of people. We would like to hear from anyone who has yet to come forward who may have CCTV from that night.

“In particular, we would like people to check the period of around 2.45am and 3.30am on Monday February 26th. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting the reference number 44240083293.”
