Police Confirm Man Died In Shedfield Accident

A MAN died in what has been described as an “industrial incident” in Shedfield yesterday, police have now confirmed.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a report of an industrial incident at an address in Winchester Road, Shedfield, at 1.12pm on Sunday 13 September.

“A 52-year-old man sustained serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of this incident, and officers are liaising with the Health and Safety Executive.”

The accident prompted a large emergency service response and reports mentioned the deployment of a police helicopter, air ambulance and multiple marked and unmarked police cars were seen travelling at speed on Winchester Road towards the scene.
