Police Hunt For Man Suspected Of Carrying Gun Goes On

A police hunt for a man suspected of carrying a gun is continuing.

A major police operation began last night in Bishop’s Waltham after a woman reported seeing a man with a firearm and the police hunt later moved to Swanmore.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.13pm to an address on Cricklemede, Bishops Waltham, after a woman reported seeing a man with a firearm.

An extensive search was conducted, with the assistance of Armed Response Vehicles, Dog Unit, and a helicopter, however the suspect was not located.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the 26-year-old man suspected of carrying the firearm.”
