Reports Of Gas Smell Across Meon Valley

A strong smell of gas has been reported across the area.

There have been reports of strong smells Waltham Chase, Swanmore, Meonstoke, Swanwick, Wickham, West Meon and Whiteley.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said: “We’re aware that some people across the Meon Valley area are reporting a strong smell of gas in the air tonight.

“If you are concerned please contact the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999.”
