Swanmore College Pupil Tests Positive For Coronavirus

By Times Reporter in News on October 1, 2020

A pupil at Swanmore College has tested positive for Covid-19.

The college said today that the child was a Year 8 pupil and had not been on site since Thursday September 17th.

In a letter to parents, Headteacher Kyle Jonathan said: “The pupil was tested a couple of days ago. We are in contact with the family and wish them a speedy recovery.

“Public Health England have carried out a triage risk assessment and their advice is clear. Based on the pupil’s attendance and contact within Swanmore College, we do not need to act upon or escalate the situation.

“Swanmore College remains open and pupils should continue to attend if they remain well.

“Nevertheless, we appreciate that you may be concerned by this development and have attached advice on how to support your child if they develop symptoms in the future.”
