Thieves Target Properties Across The Meon Valley

There has been a spate of burglaries and thefts across the Meon Valley over the past four days.

Meonstoke was targeted by thieves over two nights with break-in reported in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning.

The incidents included:

  • Between 11pm on May 21st and 1am on May 22nd – a shed and garage broken into at an address on Pound Lane. Two bikes, two chainsaws and a strimmer stolen.
  • May 22nd – early hours of the morning. Shed broken into at an address on Pound Lane. Hedge cutters stolen.
  • May 22nd – early hours of the morning – Shed broken into at an address on Pound Lane. Bosch saw stolen, which was later recovered nearby.
  • Between 10.30pm on May 22 and 7.15am on May 23 – garage of an address on Chapel Road broken into. Nothing was taken.

Thieves also targeted at least one property in Hambledon in the early hours of Sunday 23rd and yesterday afternoon a handbag was stolen from a house in Hambledon.
