Three people in hospital with serious injuries following collision in Upham this morning

Three people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the Bishop’s Waltham to Upham road this morning.

The incident, which involved two vehicles, occurred on Winchester Road at around 8am.

Police say the injuries, although serious, are not thought to be life-threatening at the current time. Road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said: “Crews responded to a traffic collision involving two vehicles on Winchester Road in Upham shortly after 8am this morning.

“Firefighters from Eastleigh and Hightown released one casualty from a vehicle before assisting paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service with treating casualties.

“HIWFRS cleared up an oil spill and made the scene safe before returning to station.”
