Waltham Chase Couple Injured After Confronting Knifeman In Their Home

A Waltham Chase couple were injured after confronting a burglar armed with a knife and cable ties in their home.

Police were called in the early hours of Wednesday after a man entered a property in Sandy Hill Close.

A police spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after we received a report of an aggravated burglary at an address in Waltham Chase.

“It was reported that at around 1.28am on Wednesday, 7 December, a man carrying a knife and cable ties gained entry to an address in Sandy Hill Close.

“He was challenged by the occupants and left. The victims, a man and a woman both in their 30s sustained minor injuries.

“The man sustained a scratch to his arm and the woman sustained a scratch to her hand.”

Nothing was stolen in the incident and police say enquiries are ongoing.
