Wickham Horse Fair Will Take Place On Saturday, Most Meon Valley Pubs Will Close
The Wickham Horse Fair will take place on Saturday.
Wickham Square will be closed from noon on Friday 19th May until the clean up has been completed on Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Most pubs across the Meon Valley will be closed when the event takes place. The Hunters Inn in Swanmore is a notable exception.
On Saturday there will be no access to and from houses between Buddens Road and Tanfield Lane. Winchester Road and Tanfield Lane will be closed whilst the horses are running. Mayles Lane will be closed to through traffic.
There will be no on street parking in Buddens Road during the Fair. Residents affected should have received letters from Winchester City Council. People who need access to and from the village on the day and have been offered the opportunity to park in the Recreation Ground car park and should contact the Parish Council.
